SO WHAT? recommends taking public transport to Richmond. Traffic can get a little hectic in the town centre and various train, bus or underground options are available. Listed on the right are a few suggestions.
The SO WHAT? studios are a stone throw from Richmond train station. After leaving the station through the main exit, look across the road to your right and you shoud see an Oddbins; we are right next door. You can cross the road by either walking left out of the station and using the zebra crossing, or by turning right and crossing at the lights slightly further down.
We are on the 1st floor.Trains From Waterloo
Trains from Waterloo stations and Clapham Junction are frequent and reliable. Fast trains from Waterloo take 15 minutes. If coming from central London we recommended you take the Underground to Waterloo and the fast train to Richmond.
North London Overground
Overground is a train that circles through North London and ends in Richmond. Stations that it passes through include Camden Road, Willesden Junction, Finchley Road, West Hampstead. Trains are air conditioned and run every 20 minutes, a great way of avoiding central London.
From Heathrow
From Heathrow Terminal 1, 2 or 3: the best way is to take a 285, X26 or 111 bus from the central bus station (above the underground station) to Feltham train station. From Feltham there are direct trains to Richmond every 15 minutes. That journey to Richmond takes approx. 15 minutes. From Terminal 4 and 5 you should be able to take a the Heathrow Connect service to Terminals 1, 2, or 3. You also have the option of takeing the 490 Bus to Richmond although this can be slow.
A handy map for bus/travel links can be found on the TFL website.
